Fried Masala Chicken with Vaghareli Daal and Tandoori Salad
Here is a unique combination of 3 dishes that requires a lot of ingredients but can be cooked easily without consuming a lot of your time and energy , which you'll relish to the core !
Ingredients for Fried Masala Chicken (3 servings)
- Chicken Leg Pieces - 3
- Ginger - 2 Inch Piece
- Garlic - 8-10 cloves
- Fenugreek (Methi) Seeds - 1 Tbsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1 Tbsp
- Cinamon Stick - 3 Inch
- Big Cardamom (Big Elaichi) - 2
- Small Cardamom - 5-6
- Clove - 6-7
- Whole Black pepper - 20-30
- Powdered Spices -
Tumeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Dhaanajeera Powder - 1 Tsp
- Curd - 1/2 Cup
- Salt to Taste
- Oil - 4-5 Tbsp
- Tur Dal - 2-3 Cups
- Green Chillies - 3-4
- Cumin Seeds - 1 Tbsp
- Garlic - 2-3 cloves
- Aesafotida (Hing) - 1/4 Tsp
- Salt to Taste
Ingredients for Tandoori Salad :
- Onions - 2-3
- Beetroot - 1
- Carrots - 2
- Cucumber -1
- Spring Onions - 3-4
- White Vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- Chaat Masala - 1 Tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
- Salt to Taste
Method for Fried Masala Chicken :
- Make a Paste of all the ingredients EXCEPT chicken in a mixer.
- Apply the paste to the chicken and marinate it for half an hour.
- Heat oil in a grill pan and fry them on both the sides till they're done.
Method for Vaghareli Daal :
- Cook the tur dal with 2-3 cups of water in a pressure cooker for 4 whistles and 20 minutes thereafter on low flame.
- Meanwhile , till the dal is done , fry the rest of the ingredients (EXCEPT salt and tumeric) of the dal and mix it with the tur dal after it's done and add tumeric and salt and boil it for 5 minutes.
Method for Tandoori Salad :
- Finely chop all the ingredients of the salad and grate the beetroot and mix them thoroughly along with white vinegar , salt , chaat masala and Kashmiri Chilli Powder and leave it for half and hour before you eat it !
