Instant Sada Dosa with Coconut Chutney
Do you want to make a dosa with chutney but don't have the time or the patience to soak the ingredients overnight ? Check out this recipe that will just take 10 minutes to cook , without any need to soak any ingredient overnight !
Ingredients for Dosa (for 3-4 servings) :
- Fine Semolina (Bareek Rava) - 2 Cups
- Maida /Rice Flour / Besan - 1/4 Cup
- Sugar - 1 Tsp
- Baking Soda (Cooking Soda) - 1/4th Tsp
- Curd - 1/2 Cup
- Salt to Taste
- Ghee - 1 Tsp for the batter
- Ghee - For sprinkling on dosa
Ingredients for Coconut Chutney :
- Coconut - 1/2
- Roasted Chana - 1 fistful
- Green Chillies - 1-2
- Tamarind - 1 Inch piece
- Ginger Paste - 1/2 Tsp
- Sugar - 1 Tsp
- Milk - Enough to make a paste
- Kashmiri Chilli - 1
- Curry leaves - 1-2 sticks
- Mustard Seeds - 1 Tbsp
- Salt to Taste
- Oil - 1 Tbsp
- Take a utensil and mix all the ingredients EXCEPT the baking soda.
- Add water to it to form a THICK BUT POURABLE consistency batter.
- Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Just before making the Dosa , add the baking soda to it and mix it well.
- Heat the Dosa tava till it is quite hot and pour a bowl full of the batter and spread it evenly in circular motions over the tava.
- Let it cook on medium flame till the bottom layer becomes golden-brown and the upper layer is done and sprinkle a Tsp of Ghee over it.
- Fold the dosa and put it on a plate in which you're going to eat.
Method for Coconut Chutney :
- Mix all the ingredients of the chutney EXCEPT Kashmiri Chilli , Curry leaves and Mustard Seeds in a mixer and make a paste out of it.
- Take a small utensil and heat oil in it.
- Add Kashmiri Chillies , Mustard Seeds and Curry Leaves to it and fry it for a minute or two.
- Add it to the the coconut paste and it's done!
And here you have the recipe of Dosa ans Chutney that can be made tasty WITHOUT spending a lot of time and patience to it !
