Bheja Na Cutlets
Bheja Na Cutlets (Brain Cutlets) are a delicious dry dish that goes well with
almost any kind of food. It tastes delicious just by itself too. It is ideally
had during winters. Let us have a look at its recipe.
Ingredients (Makes 6 Cutlets) :
- Goat Brains - 4
- Bread - 3-4 Slices
- Ginger Paste - 1 Tsp
- Garlic - 8-10
- Black Pepper Powder - 1 Tsp
- Green Chillies - 2
- Eggs - 1-2
- Coarse semolina / Bread crumbs - For Coating
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Coriander - 1/2 Cup
- Salt to Taste
- Oil - 4-5 Tbsp
Method :
- Wash the brains and boil them in water for 10 minutes.
- Remove the brains from the water and keep them aside.
- Dampen (Should NOT be wet) the slices of bread and shred them into tiny bits and mix them with the brains (using your hands) until they blend with each other.
- Add ginger paste , finely chopped garlic , finely chopped green chillies , Kashmiri chilli powder , turmeric powder , salt and finely chopped coriander to it.
- Mix it and leave it aside for 10 minutes.
- Scoop out parts of the cutlet mixture and form them into the desired shape.
- Coat them with coarse semolina / bread crumbs , dip them in salted beaten eggs and fry them (It can either be deep fried or shallow fried) till they are golden brown on all sides.
