Besan Ladoos
Besan Ladoos are an Indian sweet dish which is popular in Maharashtra. It is
easy to make and takes little time to prepare. Let us have a look at its
recipe.
Ingredients (Makes 12 Laddoos) :
- Gram Flour (Besan) - 2 Cups)
- Sugar - 1 Cup
- Ghee - 1/2 Cup
- Green Cardamom (Chhoti Elaichi) Powder - 1 Tsp
- Cashew Nuts (Optional) - 10
- Any dry fruit for garnishing (The dry fruit used by us is Pistachios)
Method :
- Heat ghee in a utensil (preferably in a non-stick utensil) and once the ghee melts , add the gram flour to it.
- Roast it for 10-12 minutes , stirring it continuously . The colour should turn golden but not brown after roasting it. Now add the elaichi powder to it.
- Grind the sugar to a fine powder in a mixer along with Cashew Nuts.
- Transfer the roasted Besan to a bowl and cool it till it feels just warm on touching.
- Add the powdered sugar and cashew nut mixture and mix it by hand.
- After it is mixed thoroughly , take little of it at a time and roll it into a ball shape with the help of your palm and garnish it with the desired dry fruit cut into half. For example , we garnished each ladoo with half pista.
