Stir fried Cauliflower with Potatoes

 

When you want to eat something that is bland , tasty and practically without spices , stir fried Cauliflower with Potatoes is an ideal dish. It tastes good with toasted bread and you can add mayonnaise to it to make it rich. Let us have a look at its recipe.

Ingredients (4 Servings) :
  • Cauliflower - 1 kg
  • Potatoes - 3-4
  • Capsicum - 2-3
  • Onions - 3
  • Spring Onions - 3
  • Garlic - 10-12
  • Sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1 Tbsp
  • Salt to Taste 
  • Butter - 4-5 Tbsp
  • Cheese - 2*2 inch piece
  • Boiled Eggs (optional) - 3
Method :
  • Heat butter in a utensil and add finely chopped garlic to it and fry it for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Cut the onions and capsicum in 1 inch cubes and separate the florets of the cauliflower and finely chop the spring onions.
  • Add onions to the butter and fry it till they turn translucent.
  • Add florets of cauliflower to it and cook them till they are half done.
  • Add capsicum , spring onions , small chopped potatoes , sugar , salt and black pepper powder to it.
  • Once the cauliflower and potatoes are cooked (NOT in the state where they can be mashed) , grate the cheese and cover the utensil till the cheese melts over it.
