Bheja
Bheja is a delicacy relished by almost every non-vegetarian. It surely is a favourite among all Parsis. It is mainly had during winters as it brings heat to the body. Let us have a look at its recipe.
Ingredients (3 Servings) :
- Goat Brains - 6
- Onions - 6-8
- Ginger Paste - 1 Tsp
- Garlic - 6-7 Cloves
- Green Chillies - 3-4
- Sugar - 1 Tbsp
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- Coriander Leaves - 1 Cup
Method :
- Heat oil in a utensil and add green chillies , finely chopped garlic and finely chopped onions to it and try them till they turn brownish.
- Add garlic paste , salt and sugar to it and let fry them for 3-4 minutes.
- Now , add Turmeric Powder and Kashmiri Chilli Powder to it and fry them for around 2 minutes.
- Break the brains into small pieces and add it to the mixture .
- Mix them well , cover the lid and cook it for around 15 minutes , till they are done. To make it tastier , cook it till all the water evaporates.
- Add finely chopped coriander , 2 minutes before turning off the stove.
