Tarelu Pav | Parsi style French Toast
Tarelu Pav , also known as French toast , is a delicious , quick and easy
sweet dish that Parsis relish as a breakfast , mid-day snack or as a sweet
dish. It makes an ideal tiffin item for kids due to its egg and milk content.
It is so easy to make that one does not have to be an expert at cooking in
order to be able to make it. Let us have a look at its recipe .
Ingredients (9 Slices)
- Ladi Pav - 3 (If Ladi Pav isn't available , sliced bread can be used)
- Milk - 1/2 - 3/4 Cup
- Egg - 1
- Powdered Sugar - 1/3 Cup
- Vanilla Essence - 1/2 Tsp
- Oil - 5-6 Tbsp
Method -
- Cut the ladi pav into 3 slices per paw.
- Meanwhile , make a mixture of milk , beaten egg , powdered sugar and vanilla essence in a utensil .
- Soak the slices of bread on both sides at a time (for 10 minutes per side) in the mixture.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry them on both sides till they turn medium brown , as shown in the picture.
