Egg Fried Rice
Egg fried rice is a Chinese dish made by many Indians. It tastes almost
similar to the fried rice served at restaurants. Have a look at its recipe.
Ingredients (4 Servings):
- Rice - 4 Cups
- Eggs - 6
- Black Pepper Powder - 1 Tbsp
- Garlic - 1 Bulb
- Ginger Paste - 1 1/2 Tbsp
- Spring Onions - 1 Bunch
- White Vinegar - 6 Tbsp
- Soy Sauce - 4-5 Tbsp
- Salt to Taste
- Oil - 7-8 Tbsp
Method :
- Finely chop the spring onions and fry only the onions and not the green part.
- Add the finely chopped garlic and ginger paste to it and fry them for a minute.
- Now, add the vinegar, soy sauce and little salt to it.
- Add little oil to the cooker and fry rice in them for around 5-7 minutes.
- Add water to rice just enough to cover it and add salt to it. Pressure cook it for 1 whistle on high flame and them for 5 minutes on low flame.
- Once the rice is done, let it cool down and mix the spring onion mixture to it.
- Make an omelette by beating the eggs with a little salt and pepper in it.
- Now, shred the omelette into tiny bits and mix it with the rice.
- White vinegar and soy sauce can be added, if needed.
Tip - If you want to make chicken fried rice, you can fry some chicken and
add it to the rice.
