Egg Fried Rice


Egg fried rice is a Chinese dish made by many Indians. It tastes almost similar to the fried rice served at restaurants. Have a look at its recipe.

Ingredients (4 Servings):
  • Rice - 4 Cups
  • Eggs - 6
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1 Tbsp
  • Garlic - 1 Bulb
  • Ginger Paste - 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • Spring Onions - 1 Bunch
  • White Vinegar - 6 Tbsp
  • Soy Sauce - 4-5 Tbsp
  • Salt to Taste
  • Oil - 7-8 Tbsp
Method :
  • Finely chop the spring onions and fry only the onions and not the green part. 
  • Add the finely chopped garlic and ginger paste to it and fry them for a minute.
  • Now, add the vinegar, soy sauce and little salt to it. 
  • Add little oil to the cooker and fry rice in them for around 5-7 minutes.
  • Add water to rice just enough to cover it and add salt to it. Pressure cook it for 1 whistle on high flame and them for 5 minutes on low flame.
  • Once the rice is done, let it cool down and mix the spring onion mixture to it.
  • Make an omelette by beating the eggs with a little salt and pepper in it.
  • Now, shred the omelette into tiny bits and mix it with the rice.
  • White vinegar and soy sauce can be added, if needed.
Tip - If you want to make chicken fried rice, you can fry some chicken and add it to the rice.
