Methi Malai Matar
Methi Malai Matar is an Indian dish , commonly served at restaurants. It is a healthy as well as tasty dish since methi is a leafy vegetable. Have a look at its recipe.

Ingredients (3-4 Servings) :
  • Big Methi - 2-3 Bunches
  • Green Peas - 250 g
  • Coriander Leaves - 1 Cup
  • Onions - 3-4
  • Tomatoes - 1 
  • Green Chillies - 2-3
  • Ginger Paste - 1 Tsp
  • Garlic - 8-10 Cloves
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 1/2 Tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
  • Sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 4-5 Tbsp
  • Fresh Cream (Malai) - 2-3 Tbsp / Milk - 1/2 Cup
Method :
  • Heat oil in a Kadhai , add finely chopped garlic and finely chopped green chillies to it.
  • Now , add finely chopped onions to it and fry them till they turn soft and pink.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes to it.
  • Now, add sugar, salt and ginger paste to it and fry it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add Kashmiri Chilli Powder and Turmeric Powder to it and fry it for another minute.
  • Add Finely chopped Methi leaves coriander leaves and green peas , mix it thoroughly , cover it with a lid and let it cook till done.
  • Add fresh cream/milk 5 minutes before turning off the stove, stirring it continuously.
