Caramel Custard

 

Caramel custard is a dessert enjoyed by people all over the world. This is a recipe that can be made quickly. It is commonly served in restaurants and can be made at home as well. Let us have a look at its recipe.

Ingredients :
  • Bread - 2 Slices
  • Milk - 750 ml
  • Sugar - 1/2 Cup (Can be adjusted according to taste) (for custard)
  • Sugar - 3 Tbsp (For caramel)
  • Vanilla Essence - 1/2 Tsp
  • Cardamom Powder - 1 Tsp
  • Nutmeg Powder - 1/4th Tsp
  • Eggs - 2 
Method :

  • Add eggs, sugar, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and vanilla essence to a bowl and beat it with a beater till the sugar melts. (Can use castor sugar instead of normal sugar).
  • Grind the slices of bread in a small jar of mixer for 10-15 seconds and add these bread crumbs to the egg mixture.
  • Now, add milk and beat it once again with a beater for 2-3 minutes.
  • Microwave the mixture for 7-10 minutes, till it becomes thick.
  • Now, take a utensil, add 3 Tbsp sugar to it and heat it on low flame till it melts and caramelises. 
  • Once the custard is ready, let it cool down , turn it upside down and pour caramel to it.
