Mango Ice-cream
Mango season is at its peak ! This delicious fruit can be turned into an absolute natural homemade ice-cream with very little effort and ingredients. It's a perfect cooler for the hot month of May and is very delicious too. It can be converted into a milkshake by adding a little milk to it and blending it in a mixer. Have a look at it's recipe.
Ingredients (1 Tub):
- Sweet Ripe Mangoes - 4-5
- Milk (Preferably full cream milk) - 1 l
- Condensed milk - 1/2 tin
- Sugar - 1/2-1 cup (according to your taste)
Method :
- Reduce the milk to half its quantity by stirring it continuously on medium flame.
- Add the sugar to it and let it dissolve.
- Turn off the stove, wait for 5 minutes and then add condensed milk to it, stirring it continuously.
- Make a fine puree out of mango by mixing it in a mixer.
- Strain it using a thin cloth or a strainer to remove any unblended fibre strands.
- Gradually add the mango puree to the milk, stirring it continuously. ( In order to make it fluffy, you can use an electric beater for 2 minutes)
- Pour the mixture in an airtight container and freeze it for 6-8 hours before you consume it.
