French Beans

This recipe of French beans is made in home-style and is also a really healthy option. Let us have a look at it.

Ingredients (3-4 servings) :

  • French Beans - 750 g
  • Onions - 2-3
  • Tomato - 1
  • Garlic - 5-6 cloves
  • Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
  • Asafetida - 1 pinch
  • Powdered spices - Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp, Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tsp, Dhanajeera powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - 1-2 tsp
  • Oil for frying - 5-6 tbsp
  • Desiccated coconut - 1 tbsp (optional)
Method :
  • Heat oil in a utensil and add finely chopped garlic to it and fry till it turns golden-brown.
  • Now, add finely chopped onions and asafetida to it and fry till it turns golden in colour.
  • Add sugar, salt and ginger paste and fry for a minute.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till they are soft.
  • Now, add the powdered spices to it and desiccated coconut. Fry them till the oil separates from the mixture.
  • Add finely chopped french beans to it and cook them till they are done.
