Fried Eggs on Ham and Potatoes


Yummy, flavourful and filling: That's how we describe this dish! It can be had for breakfast, lunch or dinner, as per your preference. It goes well with bread but better with toasted bread.  Let us have a look at its recipe.

Ingredients (3 Servings):
  • Onions - 2-3
  • Potatoes - 3 (medium-sized)
  • Ham Slices - 3 
  • Eggs - 3
  • Cheese - 2-3 cubes
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Mixed Herbs - 1/2 tsp
  • Oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chillies - 3-4
  • Salt to taste 
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying 
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and add finely chopped green chillies and finely chopped onions to it. Fry them till the onions turn soft. 
  • Add salt and sugar to it and let them fry for a minute.
  • Add thin slices of potatoes to it and cook them till they turn soft.
  • Now, add black pepper powder, oregano and mixed herbs to it.
  • Add fried slices of ham to cover the potatoes and grate the cheese evenly over it. Let it cook for a minute.
  • Break the eggs over the cheese and sprinkle them with salt and black pepper powder. 
  • Sprinkle a handful of water over the eggs and cover it with a lid. Let it cook on low flame till the eggs are done.
