Mutton Kheema with gravy
Mutton Kheema, also known as Mutton Mince, can be prepared in dry or gravy type. Here is the recipe of Mutton Kheema with gravy. This type of Mutton Kheema goes really well with plain Khichri.
Ingredients -
- Mutton Kheema - 250 g
- Potatoes - 2-3
- Onions - 2-3
- Tomato - 1
- Garlic - 5-6 cloves
- Ginger paste - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds (Jeera) - 1 tbsp
- Whole garam masalas - Tej (Cinamon) - 2 inch piece, Whole blak pepper - 5-6, Cloves (Laung) - 3-4
- Green chillies - 2-3
- Kashmiri red chillies - 2
- Curry leaves - 2 stems
- Powdered spices - Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Dhanajeera powder -1 tsp, Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1-2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying - 4-5 tbsp
Method :
- Heat oil in a utensil and add finely chopped garlic and whole garam masalas to it. Let it fry till the garlic turns golden-brown.
- Add cumin seeds, finely chopped green chillies and Kashmiri red chillies to it and let it fry for a few seconds.
- Now, add the curry leaves and finely chopped onions to it and let them fry till the onions turn golden in colour.
- Add ginger paste, salt and sugar to it and let them fry for a minute.
- Add finely chopped tomato to it and let it fry till they turn soft.
- Add powdered spices to it and let them fry till the oil separates from the mixture.
- Add mutton kheema to the mixture and let it cook for around 10 minutes.
- In the meanwhile, peel and chop the potatoes to 1 inch cubes and add them to the mixture. Mix well and add 1-2 glasses of water to it as per the amount of gravy you desire.
- Cover it with a lid and let it cook for around 20 more minutes.
- Add finely chopped coriander leaves to it right before turning off the stove.
